Admission is made through the Bihar state entrance test and Patliputra University counselling. This page sets out every step, document and cost.

Process

Four steps from entrance test to enrolment

Appear for the state entrance test

Admission to B.Ed. in Bihar is made through the state-level combined entrance test. Candidates must qualify and register for counselling.

Choose NTTC during counselling

Select National Teachers' Training College, Patna as a preference during Patliputra University counselling and obtain the allotment letter.

03

Report to the college

Report on the date given in the counselling letter with all original documents and the prescribed set of photographs.

04

Verification and fee payment

Documents are verified by the admission committee, after which the course fee is paid and admission is confirmed.

Eligibility in brief

Qualification

A bachelor's or master's degree with the minimum percentage prescribed by the state entrance authority and Patliputra University for your category.

Entrance test

Qualifying the state-level combined B.Ed. entrance test is mandatory.

Seats

100 — two basic units of 50 seats

Reservation

As per Government of Bihar norms.

Cut-offs and minimum marks vary by session and category. Confirm the current requirement in the entrance test prospectus before applying.

Fees once paid are not refundable. Hostel charges, where applicable, are separate and declared at the time of admission.

Checklist

Documents required at admission

Bring every item in original, together with one set of photocopies. Admission is confirmed only after the committee has verified your documents.

Tip: Keep the counselling letter and five passport photographs at the top of your file — they are the first two items the admission desk asks for.
